In excess of 40 members of the Kinsmen Club of The Pas along with family and friends spent nearly 3 hours on this first Saturday of the May long weekend to clean trash out of 11 kilometres of ditch along PR 287 between Highway 10 and the Clearwater Lake Airport on both sides of the road.
Sadly we picked up 115 bags of garbage out of the ditches. Frustratingly is the fact the vast majority is again right at the junctions when we have nice big blue garbage cans just a few meters down the road.
A huge thank you to Life Member Gary and Donna Kozun for coordinating the annual project and for opening your home to host our families with delicious food and great fellowship.
Let’s try and keep the roads into our parks and community clean this summer, it is the first impression our visitors get entering our region.
